Purpose of Postion
The overall objective of the Pricing Analyst is to add value to the sales and marketing program of LinkAmerica Corporation by developing profitability reports for each company’s network. The position will also insure that national and daily bids are properly analyzed and will analyze dispatch practices and determine areas of improvement in order to enhance the profitability of the carrier
Qualifications
- Proven ability to observe and analyze an operational practice then make recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to observe actual practice, analyze it, then develop financial models.
- Ability to gather appropriate information and analyze it in order to develop and recommend lanes that are profitable.
- Ability to develop process and decision ‘rules’ for operations to follow to ensure profitability.
- Prefer related experience in a transportation company.

- Computer Proficiency - Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on Excel. Knowledge of extrapolating information from databases and creating user-friendly worksheets/reports.
Principal Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain customer and carrier reports, including: Monthly customer revenue reports, by carrier and consolidated, market rates by lane for each company, National Account profitability reports, individual company network profitability reports, and set up a cost model for dedicated opportunities
- Process all national bids and daily pricing requests, including: national account opti bids, and on - line bids
- Complete customer information requests for all bids, such as financial, contact information, and truck and trailer count
- Participate in national account carrier opti bid meetings.
